You don’t need previous professional experience as a travel agent to apply to 407&Beyond, but travel experience does matter. We look for candidates who have substantial personal experience with destinations and types of travel represented in our portfolio and who are willing to continually expand their knowledge.
Being a successful travel advisor requires much more than loving vacations. Clients are relying on you to help them make decisions about where to stay, what to book, how to get around, and how to make the most of their vacation. Firsthand travel experience can provide an important foundation for making thoughtful recommendations and understanding what your clients will experience.
We’re also looking for candidates who are comfortable with the business side of the role. You’ll be responsible for finding clients, responding to inquiries, preparing quotes, marketing your services, and building relationships that can lead to repeat and referral business.
